there's a muscle that connects the back of your neck to the part of your thoracic spine behind your scapula, and when it gets tight, it gets REALLY tight ha.... oh, and it's insanely stubborn and difficult to stretch #techneck

I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for decades thanks to a setup I worked at in the US (my own fault) - but this routine works like a dream.

I think it’s the lifting your arm up straight from your side that does the trick for me.

@andrewplested thank you, i've always been "yoga curious" but never tried it :) looks like a very well thought-out sequence of mobility exercises integrated with a dash of breath meditation. cool combination! i have done some of those movements before but not in that seated position or in that sequence. she brings up a good point that the stiffness can be triggered by relatively high intensity activities that seem unrelated. i think that is definitely the case for me this time around!
