The past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on a large project that involves several hundred #SMPTE2110 devices.

During a network failure test, one of our product types failed to stay routable and connected from the secondary network.

Turns out the issue was another manufacturer’s NMOS management system doesn’t properly register devices with NMOS IS-04 advertisements ordered by IP address then by protocol version.

We got blamed because Evertz Magnum doesn’t properly follow NMOS IS-04.
