I’m worried about my #FreeCompany in #ffxiv. The leader hasn’t been around in 2 weeks, we’ve had about 4 or 5 people leave in the past month, and the discord is silent
I’ve been trying to get activities going but everyone seems content to not show up and then complain that nothing is happening
I ran a survey and people said they wanted mount and glam farming. Set up some mount farming events and zero people showed up
Starting to think it’s time for me to move on
That's always been my issue with guilds, FCs, and things of that nature regardless of MMO -- too many people complaining about things and not enough people doing anything about them. But even when someone DOES try to do something about it, it falls on deaf ears if you aren't deemed "important" enough.
It's why most of my guilds are solo guilds now of me, myself, and I. Then I join linkshells and Discord communities of larger groups that I do stuff with.
Makes it a lot easier.

But the leader was dating one of the other officers, and you can guess how the rest of that played out….
And now there is a skeleton crew left and people just aren’t even logging in to the game or discord to see that things are happening 🫠
I'm so very sorry to hear about how things have sort of dwindled for your FC. If I knew of any FCs recruiting, I'd suggest some but maybe other folks in the #FFXIV community might have some good recommendations?
I don't know what DC/server you're on, but I certainly hope you find another FC that you can feel at home with!

I’m going to stick it out for a little bit more and see if I can get some life breathed back into it
When it was good it was really fun. I know it will take time to build up the new iteration but it can be done
I’m dreading the recruitment part… that mentally feels like a slog
