You know a #KDrama isn't really grabbing you when you're wading through ep 12/16 and keep spending more and more time seriously contemplating rebuilding your East Asian viewing database of ~900 entries FROM SCRATCH. For fun. #MySweetMobster

My Sweet Mobster is probably a bit too sugary for some tastes but I quite loved the dwarves as I called them, the pack of mobsters all in the same house.
I'm halfway through the very popular #Vincenzo and suddenly, couldn't watch any further. I expect I'll return at some point but it may not be soon.
Watching #Pachinko instead, repeating season 1 before progressing to season 2. I reread the book in anticipation.

@EllenInEdmonton It surprised me by gaining depth and strength in the final quarter, the reverse of what often happens. In the end, I scored it 7.75/10 for staying true to message. The fact that it was his son's unflinching commitment to nonviolence that finally 'cracked' the Dad was a pleasant surprise.
@ronsboy67
I liked the ways that the storylines wrapped up. The show was always a pleasant watch for me. And ML's story IRL was that he went 2 years without being able to pay his rent because he didn't have enough acting work. His landlord kept believing in him and encouraging him!!
