I have high expectations for the next Mac Studio.
My new M4 Max is noticeably faster than my M1 Ultra. I do feel it, even with web browsing.
P.S. Two thumbs up for nano-texture screen. But I fear it’s going to be hard to keep this screen clean. Always a challenge on a laptop. I ordered a protective microfiber cloth to put over the keyboard before closing the lid.
The fans, which almost never turned on with M1 MAX, have returned to the near-frequency of the intel MBP days.
bummer Apple couldn't retain the power and heat efficiency, which they notably didn't advertise and brag about for M4, like they did with M1.
Okay, I never quite understood keyboard geeks and the obsession with custom keyboards.
But now that I have this new M4 Max, I feel a very noticeable difference between the very worn out M1 Max keyboard and this fresh, punchy M4 Max keyboard.
It's the same keyboard design. But new. And I didn't realize just how worn out the M1 keyboard had become.
Like driving an old, high milage car; you often don't realize exacly how old-and-busted the shocks and springs are until you replace them with new bits.
