Re-cap done! I think this is the most colourful re-cap I have done. I did rip a few pads, even though I set the temp lower because it also happened when re-capping one of the #laseractive boards. Let's see if I sound any better now :) #karaoke #laserdisc #pioneer
@zaxour.bsky.social pointed out the two big purple caps were solid caps and might not be right, so I replaced them with normal electrolytic ones. I didn't even know they were solid. Oops. Everything should be up to specs now. What's next? PAC-N1?
The LED on the PAC would jot turn on and I never got the on-screen menu. Following @[email protected]'s advice, I cleaned the contacts on the back of the PAC and the legs of the socketed IC with deoxit gold (and I also reflowed all the solder points of the other ICs) and now the LED will light up and I also get the on-screen menu. All good. #laseractive #karaoke
