More than a 1,000 bills were filed by legislators on the unofficial start of the #TxLege which ironically was the day before #TransVisibilityWeek. Ironically because #GOP politicians are trying to make good on their promise to eradicate trans folks. They have filed bills to:

— ban the use of taxpayer resources for “gender reassignment” including adults HB 847
— inform parents if their child’s perception of their biological sex is “inconsistent” with their “sex organs, chromosomes and...

... endogenous hormone profiles.” SB 86

— prohibit government health insurance programs from covering gender-affirming care and increase civil liabilities for doctors who offer transition-related medical procedures. SB 115
