In the gym I've been watching videos on common place books. It tickles an itch I get this time of year for notebooks and writing and organization. Also a little nostalgia for Lemon Snicket.

It also has me considering using paper for immediate thoughts or collecting and Obsidian for a long term collection and second draft type space. I haven't tried merging paper and tech beyond calendars but I think this could work well for all my writing itches.

The latest video I watched was this one if you're curious: https://youtu.be/fITgm5V-m_Y?si=FUZmBbgyskoHOIFq
How I Actually Use My Commonplace Books

YouTube
@apricotant I started using a remarkable for getting my notes down whenever I am travelling and then move it to Obsidian in a more structured way. Right now the second part has been "simplified" by dumping my more interesting remarkable documents directly into the vault in pdf format to properly write it up uhhhh later.

@michaelguntsche
"Later" carries a lot of weight.

I've seen a few remarkable ads that seemed a bit gimmick-y to me but an e-reader also seemed a bit gimmick-y to me before I got one.
