schoolingdiana@Daojoan I live in one of the most expensive areas of the U.S. and eggs are only $3 a dozen. I have no idea what people are complaining about. Eggs have to be sourced locally due to high perishable rates, since the FDA requires the protective film to be washed off. It makes them almost immune to corporate price gouging, which is so rampant with other products these days.

I keep my eggs in the cupboard and they're safe enough to eat raw.

As an aside I get all my eggs from a local farmer and I highly recommend looking for one. It supports actual small businesses and in my experience the quality is insanely better.
