I've left my main account dormant I guess at least one and a half year ago.

The BBC and most DW linked accounts are still active on Twitter, and I had an occasional look at these via my original account, but that's last been weeks ago.
Probably won't check again. Shame to lose the contacts, but life will go on.

Was planning to just leave the accounts dormant.

@Sustainable2050 I'll leave before Friday. New TOS makes tweets available for AI training by then, unwanted.

(Although one could argue that leftwing political statements would be a good source for training purposes... 🫣)

sorry, I'll have to remove all my tweets as soon as possible: their change of TOS makes it impossible to stay, I don't want to give any content to their AI bullshit ;)

Their policy states that they will use your tweet history to train their AI, starting from November 15th.

Do it now. Ask for a backup of your account, which will take AT LEAST 24h to be mailed to you.
Then deactivate your account. Stay away from it for 30 days of inactivity (do not log in) for it to get deleted.

Act fast, act now. Don't wait until January.

You could wait. Hope the platform will be taken over. But why bother. That ship has sailed. It is a Nazi bar.
And Nazis will take over everything and abuse your data for their nefarious gains and goals. Laws mean nothing to them as they can buy off judges. Laws in a oligarchy are meant to keep *you* under control.
