#Walz in Minnesota:

"Look, folks: I know this is a hard moment. It's hard to lose. It's hard to understand how so many of our fellow citizens—people Democrats have long fought to help—wound up choosing the path they did."

"So if you're feeling deflated and discouraged today, I want you to know that I get it … Take care of yourself. Take care of your loved ones. Take care of your community. There are a million ways to make a difference—get back in the fight when you're ready."

@GottaLaff He's just wonderful. He's America's dad.
@GottaLaff It is not enough to get back an fight, you need to prepare for it, you need to know how to fight, otherwise your freedom will be gone very soon
@GottaLaff He gave a beautiful speech that left me in tears. It makes you want to move to Minnesota, but it is just too damned cold there.

@GottaLaff

I have made a lot of like-minded woke friends here. This connection could turn out to be our lifeline when things get intense. Stay connected. Appreciate this community where the racist trolls are efficiently extinguished. Thank the administrators.

Heal somehow. Learn a new skill, learn to cook better, revamp your exercise routine.

The Republicans may wind up destroying our country but don't let them ruin your life. Find meaning somehow to keep you in the fight.

@66gardeners This is why Maddow and others have said, "Stay engaged."

@GottaLaff
I will fight for democracy until my last dying breath. Let's buckle up but remember to destress. If you don't know how, ask for help.

Allowing yourself fall apart will not make things better for you if we are able to turn this around somehow.

Yes I agree 100%. To be blunt I am a childhood trauma survivor. Like Oprah Winfrey it made me resilient. We must #StayStrong and support each other. As Robert Palmer said, it takes every kinda people. youtu.be/XwCHFaarTjY?...

@66gardeners @GottaLaff Things to learn that have advantages going forward are the areas of communications (get your ham radio license!), operational security (how to avoid leaving data trails, how to use computers safely in a potentially adversarial environment) and history (what happened during the 30s and 40s in Europe and how does it map to the 21st century).

@phoenixgee @GottaLaff

Absolutely, strive to come out a better person on the other side. Don't let them beat you down.

@66gardeners That’s the spirit! @phoenixgee
@GottaLaff @66gardeners @phoenixgee @GottaLaff My favorite Aldo Leopold quote: "That the situation appears hopeless should not prevent us from doing our best.” My “best” may vary day to day 🙂 but stay engaged is a good plan.

@GottaLaff I’d never really paid attention to Walz before this. I don’t live in that state, so I’ve never had the need to.

I like Walz.

@dostalcody Same. I’d heard his name, seen a few good things, but didn’t know much. I really like him now.
@GottaLaff Walz 2028. ;)
@dostalcody I doubt it. We have a huge bench, younger. But he sure did a great job.
@GottaLaff Yeah, I do agree. But I wouldn’t be annoyed with my voting choices if it came down to Walz as the candidate in the general.

@GottaLaff

I'm grateful he's back in my state. The only silver lining in all of this.

@GottaLaff
If people hadn't stayed home, there'd be no need to "get back in"
