Like you, I've been absorbing the news today. As I write this, it looks more and more possible that the American experiment will end in January.

I'll be back tomorrow, but right now I just want to wait and see.

PS: To all the journalists who barely deigned to notice the likelihood that the next president would be an outright fascist – and did nothing to stop him – you have my contempt.

Same applies to Bezos, Thiel and every single American who voted for FASCISM.

They're enemies of democracy and must be faught against.

@dangillmor Australian here. One who has worked with Americans for decades, lived in the US on 3 separate occasions, and both admire and like what America is, and what Americans are. And I mourn for you. Your country, your future and the role that your country has successfully played in the free world for decades are all at risk. Profoundly sad.

Yes. We tuned into Fox around midnight US time. The mood was surprisingly un-ecstatic and quite sombre dare i say.
One blond Barbie was talking up Trump but the others looked shocked even.
I too lay the blame at their feet.
That they spent a year talking up Trump, hiding facts, amplifying his sleaze, stirring up his base and repeating clips over and over of his violent rhetoric. May they rot in hell for the lies they have spread

My June 20, 2020 meme has regained relevance because I again blame the media of mass communication for the election of the Felonius Fellator to the presidency. This time it was by referring to him as "Former President DJT" rather than "Convicted Felon DJT. That might have made a difference.
