Twitch are updating their rules & decided that LGBTQ+ is a "Sensitive social issue" & needs to be hidden behind a content warning.
Obviously this is bad for LGBTQ+ streamers & a slippery slope, so please if you're a twitch user, vote on this feedback petition:
There's a lot more I could have written about this but... look we've all seen this a million times before, we know how it works, how bad actors abuse it to mass report and bully and where it all goes.

There are many different toasters, but few alternatives to Twitch.

Minorities need to fight for rights.
The site has been against LGBTQ+ for a while, and the biggest reason why I never bothered streaming anything there, even for fun.
@CanisRufus Queer folk are no more "sensitive issues" than straight folk.
I've voted to remove this nonsense. If you ever use Twitch, then I invite you to do the same.

Please don't do this Twitch, LGBTQIA+ people like me need your help as minorities. The number one factor behind trans suicides is lack of societal acceptance and failing to see where we can ever fit in.
From the Trevor hotline, a suicide prevention hotline I've had to use myself for support, countless times:

Your policy is exactly contributing to people like me feeling hopeless and discriminated against for simply existing. Please at least remove this policy and ideally add *more* protection instead of eroding the rights of your LGBTQIA+ community members
