"I am hearing the home care medical supply shortage is worsening and that the govt's new agency 'Ontario Health at Home' is telling home care patients to go to the hospital ER if their home care teams are short of medical supplies. This is now reportedly causing hospitals to run low on their supply of devices like IV, catheters, pain pumps etc."

Supplies are so chaotic staff are finding more than one patient's pain medication in the box delivered to their home.
It’s a privacy breach & nurses concerned these narcotics could be diverted to the streets.
One nurse tells me the day after her palliative patient died a box containing morphine & Ativan arrived - no one is tracking the haphazard delivery of these dangerous meds across the province or if they are returned.
