Editorial cartoon showing a row of women dressed in identical restrictive long robe dress and bonnets, in Puritan or Handmaiden's Tale style. Their heads hang down and their hands are folded in front of them. They are lined up going into a voting booth. On the other side of the voting booth, a row of women exit, walking out confidently, heads held high, dressed in a variety of different modern street clothes; Puritan robes are discarded to the side.
@TomSullivan I guess I am to thick to get this... no one here is a puritan as far as I can tell. So voting doesn't really change them. Are you saying somehow voting opens their eyes or something? Because I can report that is sadly false.
@TomSullivan women will save this country!
Brave, bold, beautiful, American women 😍 both at the ballot box and in government...
There's a reason the #StatueOfLiberty 🗽 is a woman ♀️ #WeThePeople #AmericanWoman #YouGoGirls
@TomSullivan @trib if it gets to Gilead stage, there won’t be functional polling-booths for *anyone* — let alone Handmaidens.
@gregreedee @TomSullivan I watched Alex Garland's Civil War recently, and much longer ago read Charles Sheehan-Miles’ unfinished America's Future trilogy. I cannot shake the sense that this may be the outcome either way.
