This is an old VGA card. Or maybe even compatible with older standards, because of 3 ROMs here. Chips are cozy warm, caps are holding time to clean the DIP chips, and check/read EPROM. Will it live again? So far no video output. Just one russian forum mentions it :) #hobby #isa #vga #tseng
Got ROM dumps from a friend and it seems mine and his are the same! I can compare only the XVGA as the VGA P are newer (by date string): This is not a product of IBM (IBM is a trademark of International Business Machines Corp.) Copyright(c)1988 Tseng Laboratories, Inc. 01/31/92 V8.02Xh
Thanks to Jarosław Jakubik and his quick share of the ROM contents I was able to move on to the next suspect - RAM. Turnus out the two Goldstar RAM chips are bad and removing the whole 512kB "bank" revived the board. Yay! Now I can hook it up to Atari ST
@lukaszjokiel that’s my first svga card from when I was young and full of hope!
@artwaw Wow, those were the days! Seems the WY470 XBIOS has a repetetive pattern with full ASCI table each 512bytes. You don't have it stashed somwhere?
@lukaszjokiel there is a slim but non-zero chance I do. But I am 1500km from my stash/home museum. I am sorry :(
@artwaw Thanks - also no problem, seems I got another candidate!
