@Ruth_Mottram Yes. Not so much any more - being self employed has its advantages - but it still happens.
I wonder, at such times, if there's not some way we can arrange things so that not everything is due on the last day of a month, or the last month of the year. Something simple like using a random number generator to pick deadlines within a specified window, for example.
@Ruth_Mottram @micefearboggis We had 30 (thirty!) reports to send by tomorrow evening. We had sent 5 of the easier ones earlier in the month. The remaining ones i assigned 5 per day throughout this final week. Luckily the project partners are 💪 and have been delivering. One more day to go!
Ah, and past me thought it would be great if I brought a poster to that conference next week 🙄.
not "what on Earth" but "what in Space!" 😅
We are developing the prototype ground processor for the #CIMR 🛰️ mission (>= 2029).
All 20+ Polar Oceans products (including #SeaIce variables) and Global Land products (Soil Moisture, Snow, etc...) for the CIMR mission need documenting. Plus the documents to describe file formats, the software architecture, the future validation campaign 😂 , etc...
This is our Year 1 review with ESA, so many of the docs are still draft.
On that note. I have been pondering if having an account for the CIMR mission on #Mastodon would be of interest.
We could share news about the mission, news papers, anything relevant for the preparation, etc...
Thoughts @Ruth_Mottram @phil_browne @PolarBremen @seaice @revesdespace @wikkit and others?
I don't want to have it on X/Twitter. But I am not sure there will be enough interest here.

Thanks! Would a main account on Mastodon and a bot to b.sky work? Or must it be the other way round? I really don't want to invest in a b.sky presence, I feel at home here.
@lavergnetho I think you could just have a main account here and then use bridgy to blue sky - it seems to work quite well!
I know that @atthenius has been experimenting with this.
I also like it better here..!
Be aware that edits made here do not federate, only the initial post does.
And that bridged posts over 300 characters will be truncated.
fwiw the tiny following of my bridgy account on bsky is the same size as the tiny following of my actual bsky account. But more than the 0 shown here!
