Lamar High School boosts security after students brought guns on campus, Houston ISD officials say

Campus administration was made aware that a student might attempt to bring a gun to school on Monday, Principal Rita Graves said in a letter to families. District police responded and were able to locate the weapon and detain the student "after a brief off-campus pursuit."
