@lucretia @[email protected] It's an interesting peek into what seems to be a libertarian that does recognize that some people are bad (Elon Musk), while refusing (or not being able) to recognize people like Trump, who are evil.
His attitude towards welfare seems interesting, but at the same time distrusts any ideas about government healthcare by comparing it to...potholes. Does he not realise that health and transport are two completely different departments that fall under different jurisdictions and laws? States, counties or cities take care of potholes, while national healthcare is countrywide, with some control under each state.
And I'm sure that "lower taxes & less regulation" will benefit everyone...in the worst of ways. If it wasn't for heavy FDA regulation, his food might have been more unhealthy or downright poisonous. Even more interesting as he seems to visit 'haven' locations around Asia, where the FDA's benefic knock-on effects are seen, especially when it comes to food export/import and regulations.
