That awkward moment when the reproducibility editor didn't find the renv.lock and the instructions to run renv::restore() in the README.md, but then points you to a reproducibility checklist which also happens to mention #renv as one option to ensure reproducibility in terms of R package versions 🥲

I know it's a thankless volunteer job that can take enormous amounts of time so I'm not mad, I just.. appreciate the irony?
#rstats #phdchat

I've also heard stories about the type of horrors one might have to deal with in that role, unspeakable crimes against the laws of nature in terms of code structure and project organization and such and such, so I hope my bullshit is at least on the lighter side of awful 🫠
@jemsu I am a repro editor for a journal in my field, I'd love to see the checklist that you mention, could you share a link to it?
@benmarwick sure, it’s from the Biometrical Journal, from the German region of the International Biometric Society https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/pb-assets/assets/15214036/RR_checklist_for_authors_2024-1727449797.pdf
@jemsu thanks so much, very interesting to see that!
