What a weird world when Rolling Stone magazine has more bravery and commitment to doing what's right for the nation than The Washington Post. Democracy dies from cowardice.

Kamala Harris Is the Clear Choice for President

Harris' record shows a dedicated public servant who believes government serves the people, while Donald Trump has divided the nation for his own gain.

@augieray CONSEQUENCE CULTURE demands you cancel your Washington Post subscription and close your Amazon account...
@augieray That's not particularly new in my experience. Rolling Stone's political and news writing stauff have have a pretty consistent history of being solid.
@augieray I am beginning to think the WAP slogan was a goal of theirs, not a warning.
@augieray Some of the best journalism during the #TFG was done by Vanity Fair. The most informed voters are people who watch comedy news shows. The ostensible 4th Estate has completely abdicated its duties - that would be the duties of being the pillar of democracy which ensures it can function.
@augieray They've had some great reporting this year, that "respectable" newspapers like the NYT couldn't be bothered with.
@augieray democracy does from capitalism. Did anyone expect Bezos buying the last remaining reliable newspaper to be a problem?

@augieray

Maybe it just did… worrying times.

Vote!

@augieray Well, this isn't new. Keep in mind how many times media moguls have manipulated public opinion to favor their own ends. They have started wars to boost sales, incited revolutions, and conducted military interventions to safeguard investments. So shutting up in the face of fascism is just par for the course.
@augieray Here's hoping RollingStone ads a "News" tab to their site. I'd subscribe (maybe?).
