“I had a covid and flu jab which left me a bit unwell and the brain wasn't functioning properly when I was due to be delivering some training in #Eastbourne.
I duly arrived at St Leonards warrior square station, saw the Eastbourne train was on time, a train came into the station and I got on.

Usually I love watching the sea on this journey, and it suddenly occurred to me I hadn't seen it. I then realised I'd got on the wrong train and was heading for London charing cross!!
I panicked, as you do, and jumped off the train 2 stops down at #Crowhurst. I was just walking over the bridge to go back to St Leonards when I realised I'd left my train suitcase on the train with laptop in it!!!

The ticket office at Crowhurst was open thank goodness and the wonderful Nikki phoned the stations enroute to London. The equally wonderful Charlotte at Stonegate station said she would run over the bridge, get my case off the train and keep it for me.
So I was able to get the next London bound train, get off at #Stonegate and rescue said case. I had to wait 30 mins for the train to get me back and Charlotte made me a cup of tea to steady my nerves.

So huge thank and enormous gratitude to two fabulous women who were my absolute heroines this morning.
I finally made it to Eastbourne for 11am. Luckily there were 2 of us delivering the training so my partner did the first bit alone. Phew!!!
I can't thank Nikki and Charlotte enough, we really need our wonderful station people.”
