@emptywheel thank you for highlighting this passage. I really benefited from hearing it.
@emptywheel I don't want to feel terrible on the evening following the election. I want to feel hopeful about my country returning to the path of becoming a fairer and more just society. Harris's words inspire me. Please, people, don't waste your opportunity to vote for a better future.

In a loss to the Republicans these words are still useful and true and necessary. Our agency will not be stripped from us though our candidate may be defeated. We must “screw our courage to the sticking place” and engage in resuscitation of our democracy if needs must.
@emptywheel I love the fact that I enthusiastically voted for Harris. It isn’t just a vote against Trump. My vote is for Harris knowing that she is going to be a fantastic President.

@emptywheel

Yup.

Let's Fucking GO. GOTV. Everybody you can.

@emptywheel "And, it [democracy] is very fragile. It is only as strong as our willingness to fight for it. And so that’s the moment we’re in. And I say do not despair because in a democracy, as long as we can keep it, in our democracy, the people — every individual — has the power to make a decision about what this will be." Nice work! Peace.
