Until a few years ago, or if the promos were more promising, I would have been looking forward to #DragonAge #Veilguard. The first 2 parts didn't excite me like the #MassEffect series, but #Origins in particular was a blast! Too bad, for me it will surely be #Failguard, the shown looks terrible.

@doom-disco.bsky.social I am a fan of the Dragon Age series, but Origins - while memorable and a great game - was not without it flaws. It contained a lot of ‘filler’ material and it was tedious at times. People tend to forget the boredom in their nostalgia. But it was a great game.
All of them were - flawed, but fun in the end. So, I am looking forward to Veilguard. That companion reveal trailer was a TOTAL miss, though.

An example: Even if the backgrounds didn't completely turn #DragonAge on its head, the #Dalish or City #Elves as well as the dwarven options still excite my imagination to this day. In contrast, #Veilguard seems like any modern steampunk melting pot, none of the NPCs shown offer me immersion. #ymmv
