As always, I love seeing all the customizations to #deliverista bikes in #NYC—some aesthetic or whimsical, some practical, some both. They seem extremely well-adapted to the rigors of the environment and job, and also reflect identity. Exploited by apps. Attacked by thieves. Unprotected by police. New York City’s 65,000 delivery workers have only themselves to count on. They’ve improvised solutions, like bridge patrol to protect themselves from attacks, to make their jobs feasible.

@marcprecipice man that article is a lot. Probably the best argument for anarchy I’ve read. The city does not help them, so they learn to help each other.
