There’s an interesting Greens related swing story in the ACT election. The Independents for Canberra swing is mostly about Emerson in Kurrajong with about 10%. There were swings TO the Greens of about 2% in Ginninderra and Yerrabi.

It’s hard to shake a first narrative (Greens “failure”). But as in previous post the story is more in the votes than the (fifth) seats. (Greens now looking likely to win 4 seats.)

@david_coombe_cbr latest figure I saw was a swing of 1.2% against the Greens, that looks enough to cost them 2 of a record 6 seats.

Their 3rd highest vote ever.

I think the future is pretty bright but I hope they change leaders this term and are more open about how being in power with Labor works

@HardBeingGreen and Labor -3.4% and Liberal -0.6%, with those majors getting a third of the votes each. Imagine if each electorate had 3 representatives! I suspect you’re right about future prospects.

@david_coombe_cbr

Overall swing against the Greens is down to 1%, it'll be interesting to see where it lands in the end

@HardBeingGreen And it seems uneven and dominated by the Emerson effect.
