1 - Looking back, there are myriad skills that I didn't take the time to learn from my parents. It honestly sucks. My dad was in the HVAC trade. He was a learn-it-yourself type because he did the same. That's not to say he wouldn't give advise or lend a hand. Hindsight I really should have been with him or over his shoulder asking questions and getting my hands dirty.
With mom, it was practical skills. Home Ec type stuff (an outdated term, but best in this context).
