I'm just after ordering 2 more #PicoMEM cards, although this time they each had the Adlib module, as I realised that for the 2x Pocket 8086s they'll be assigned to would benefit from the additional sound options, although OPL3 still trumps the Adlib option! I'm debating if I should get a #PicoGUS for them later on, but I'm not sure at present as I would need to see if there are many games that support the x86 808x CPUs and would also benefit from a Sound Blaster 1.0 card, especially given I'd-
focus on more on the Pocket 386 for better sound! I do think that my planned 386 desktop build would at least benefit from it, seeing as I'd be putting more original hardware into my 486 build, altho I might also get one for my Pentium MMX build, though I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! I know that the PicoMEM will benefit the Pocket 8086s and Book 8088 v2.0 (which'll get a sound module too) because of the floppy disk image support, as well as also USB input devices, the networking-
functionality, and a little extra memory! I probably should look more into PS/2 mouses too, as either I get them for the relevant systems along with a PS/2 to USB adapter, or I get USB to PS/2 adapters to use with USB mouses! I probably should see if USB hubs/splitters are supported on the USB port too, so I can have the option for a controller/joystick if I want to use one, although I probably want to get a game port to USB adapter so contemporary controllers can be used!

Having to rejig post text to fit on different platforms is a bit of a pain... I probably should just start writing on a macro blogging platform, then link to the post with the opening sentence as it'd save a lot of hassle and time!

Edit: I will note that the Mastodon.social instance and Threads have very similar character limits though!

@stormkeepergu I find the small character limit here frustrating on occasions. Some instances support much larger limits though.
@druid I'm just after appending (edit is useful!) to my previous post that Threads and Mastodon.social have similar character limits, which useful for larger streams of consciousness, but I probably shouldn't be posting what is essentially a blog post on platforms like this, especially if I have to replicate it it across multiple locations!
