At last #BBCLauraK asks #Jenrick as to how leaving the #ECHR will affect the #GFI

He says, "The Good Friday Agreement is not reliant on the ECHR."

LK "It's a fundamental part of it"

RB Then suggests changing that protection to a Northern Ireland Bill of Rights or a British Bill of Rights. He's not clear here

"It is entirely possible for a country that wrote the Magna Carta to set up protections for its citizens as they were before the ECHR"

Both UK and Eire were in the EU then #FFS

@Geri @BackFromTheDud ooh dear. The hubris of the man. He thinks he's going to sort out the issues in northern Ireland. Better people than him have come to grief by blundering in there like a bull in a china shop.
