John Wycliffe, a Protestant martyr, on the 6th Commandment. To kill is to not feed the feeble, those in pain, ashamed to beg, or made so by the sufferance of God.

Even if someone were in a sad state is due to God’s sufferance, Wycliffe would say a huge duty to feed: your fault for murder in death. Instead, do we now put dying people into the box of “God’s will”; go back to watching the game?
