Ahh life at the modern university with ever growing upper managment (now refered to as executive university leaders). My university is now up to 13 Vice Presidents. The most recent is the VP of Real Estate cause, you know, education and scholorship. Does anyone work at a University that can top that?

@alenar @academicchatter not that many but getting there! And our VC has doubled his salary since 2016, whilst firing half the humanities dept and closing courses that are award winning and recruit well. It beggars belief.

They hired an AI czar at UC Davis Health because what patients and med students have really been clamoring for is shoving AI into everything... #UCAccessNow

I'm at a small community college in California and the best I can tell we have 10. They swap titles and get promoted so often, we don't have an org chart to reference so it's really hard to tell.

@alenar @academicchatter Just checked the most recent organizational chart from the spring. We have 5 VPs and 3 associate VPs and then the "cabinet" (sigh) also includes the Chief of Staff (I have no idea), General Counsel, and Athletics Director. The Provost has 3 associate provosts and there seem to be several other associate VPs who are not included in the "cabinet".
