the problem with EU freedom of movement rights is that EU member states find it annoying when EU citizens exercise their rights to EU freedom of movement which means they're disinclined to talk about EU freedom of movement rights which as a result means nobody actually knows what anyone's EU freedom of movement rights are
like, the EU commission has a great pamphlet on it (https://op.europa.eu/en/publication-detail/-/publication/51cf67c4-a4ed-44a6-93cf-8120a7aa4c08) but the only people reading it are people who are already aware of and want to confirm the details surrounding their rights
it's all very frustrating
