I started my first texts, mostly lyrics for songs or plain old preteen poetic attempts with pen & paper, my family was one the late ones to adopt technologies, we only had an computer because suddenly, typewriters wouldn't be repaired anymore. On our first Internet contract I had to talk mom into using that thing just so I wouldn't fall further behind on tech skills, more & more social things, as I did with computer tech already and today again.😅

Some handwritten textes still exist, very bad to read because I never had a beautiful handwriting, i make mistakes, forget mid sentence how a letter looks & mix words up all the time, also printer ink is way better than ink or ballpen ink in surviving the decades.
Had a piece of art with two separate textes that where intervened to a third text. Sadly only one (half) survived an I can't decipher it anymore...

Kira was standing in the cargo bay of the Ghoz'Tarc, the containers where moved to the side, nothing remembered of the kitchen/dining area from yesterday, instead the shooting range was in place.
She looked at Mondira who asked the question. Pulled her pistol from her holster, straightening her arm taking a stable stance, despite the weapon having no real kickback & shot every single target once, while pointing her heterochromatic stare at Mon.
She spoke:"Effortless right? In a realistic situation it's not our goal to shot someone. It's to prevent life loss or the harm of the defenseless.
Imagine this would have been sentient creatures, what had I done?
Mondira looked over to the targets every single one was marked as a hit on the head or vital

439. How much does your SC value companionship? Are they usually found in the company of others, or do they often prefer to be alone?

You are never truly alone on a ship like the Ghoz'Tarc. You have to value companionship in a special way to do so... It's like on a submarine but you can't even go outside and take a breath if everyone would agree you should. Your home that feels like a house in one way you will not leave for a long time especially on this mission. Not seeing a blue or whatever colored sky for a month is another kind of stress. Being in this house with ~39 other people puts stress on you no matter how advanced as a human you may be. This is why the crews become more like a big family over time. You can't resist forever to interact with others. And if you don't like someone you still need to get along somehow...
Companionship is one possible answer.

440. What are your current writing goals?

1. Finding a way for me to work productive on my World(s).

2. Writing the first chapter for Star Ryde hopefully all 12 more planned too. I will skip the challenge of Nano because with an Large LLM behind it I don't like the though of this. Bin the less I will try to finish the first chapter at least without sharing it online...

3. Finding out who am I as a writing person.

4. Reignforests. It's a stupid joke in German Weltherrschaft means World domination/reign the world Waldherrschaft sounds close but means Reign over the forests. I combine the two words to make it sound like Rainforest.

5. Releasing my work somehow/Profit??

6. Take Galaxy Glyde to a level where I can at least be thrown into the Internet.

441. What was your MC’s biggest mistake or failure? Does / Did it define them in any way or capacity?

If you ask Kira it may have been falling in Love with Tanya or the day she stepped into the shuttle leaving behind her captain/big, adoptive Sister as she had ordered. Luckily she has pushed beyond the point of feeling guilty for her survival while her parents & sisters did not.

Arkham has a split view on this. She loves what she does, she likes Ashlei very much, she loves her Captain, on the other hand being frontline material isn't a pleasure for sure on the 3. hand hand she was adrift, lost on the streets of her home planet as a teen. Fighting for survival seems her field of expertise next to piloting.

Ashlei: not everything Ash learns from the merge with Kira is pleasant, she accumulated almost all bad memories Kira had (quite a lot) and shares the pain about her sister went missing.

All try to not be defined by the past.

Kira isn't that big of an traits enthusiastic person it's easier to describe her NOPE traits. She simply has a very open mindset, as one should who dates more than one partner in different species.

To her hated traits belong
- Toxicity
- mindlessness
- manipulative behavior with the clear goal of self advantage.
- not accepting boundaries.
- not communicating with a partner is the worst, even as an person unable to speach there are ways to communicate, especially in a world where thoughts can be uploaded into a network.

Arkham has no such preference so far Kira is her first partner and she simply lacks this knowledge it didn't crossed her mind so far. She can tell that it is difficult to be one partner not THE partner but this also has to do with her uprising.

For Ash this will be an interesting journey.

443. Is your MC prone to jealousy? How might they handle envious feelings?

Kira just isn't, she had to learn to value the moment and luckily she could embrace change instead of dealing with a constant fear of loosing someone.

As I mentioned above Arkham has an issue with not being "THE ONE" rather than "just one" she can't see yet that love can be true, unconditional & shared with many, to be fair she was completely sure of being absolutely ace/grey/a- instead of being demi romantic & thought similar about her sexuality.
Without Kira she still would thin like this. Arkhams parents where monogamists & her mom was not very open minded at all. Trying to life her not pursuited dreams through Arkham. Her father kept this in check but he died as Arkham was thirteen.

Ashlei learns through Kira's emotions which makes it a bit difficult for her.

I remember this answer for Kira very well, before I decided that Arkham also will be a main character. Not sure if I answered for Ashlei as an Ship/AI she never really sleeps.
Well Arkham & all others have the same training as Kira by the Alliance military. Basically they all learned to focus on a mono colored, plain/area in their mind & only think about that color. In addition the Hyperpods are constructed to induce sleep. So sleeping isn't that much of an issue. For Kira, Rose & Talisa, who all have "a real bed" onboard, it can be a bit harder, same is true for the guest quarter or the modified sleepcrates/privatecrates in the cargo bay. The Ghoz'Tarc wasn't planned for front missions longer as two weeks so as they send it out they made some "Luxury upgrades." Non the less the Hyperpods & the training are the best combinations to ensure sleep.

I may switch away completely from the Ghoz'Tarc and her crew, because I have a lot of dear concepts I want to realize with "side characters."
I am also not set yet if some characters may end abruptly or get a happy ending. We'll see.

Kira absolutely is, otherwise she would be deemed unfit for duty & wouldn't have her rank. But everyone has a breaking point, so far it only was reached in the answer to the WordWeavers answer, some days ago, where she met me and knew I wrote her not very pleasant story...

Arkham has a bit loose canon in her "DNA" after all it's her instinctive behavior and reflexes that allow her to be so good, as well her over sensitive skin. She also is one of the youngest members on board but at the same time already in an command position so she has self control but a lot less than Kira.

A.S.H.L.E.I. as the AI of the Ghoz'Tarc we better hope so, you don't want an agile, highly armed ship having a dispute with a planets resident and than realize it just vaporized their living quarters and what surrounded it...

448. Are there any physical health or mental health issues that run in your MC’s family? (I.e. heart disease, depression, etc.)

I would be highly surprised if Kira doesn't suffer from a form of PTSD, bonding issues or depression. However she managed somehow to find a way to deal with it if course she has some traces if her life "etched" onto her skin. Remarks that she is a warrior and a survivor. From her heterochromia to her visible skar on her left face side and some more.

Arkham has some psychological circumstances that make her easily angered persona even more harsh at times.

Aschlei can an AI have psychological problems? I think we will find out.

I think I mentioned it before Union Founding is a big celebration inside the Union, beginning with first contact day, which was a two day celebration and us now a week long where they celebrate the beginning of the Union between the Talithi and the Terrans originally a day is added for each core member that joins (plus minus time adjustments do to local Time being different than Terra Standard Time etc and different Planets simply have different time schedules). Associated members can celebrate too but they aren't hold to it. Basically it's a week in which they celebrate with different foods, drinks and enjoy the diverse cultural backgrounds the Union has. It's up to the local governments how they celebrate in detail but over all it's just a good time and most Union Citizens enjoy it. That especially goes for Kira who has vivid memories to this.

In her younger years it was common for trainees and students of the alliance military to get the time off and embrace what the cultures of the Union have to offer, she also somehow often ended up with groups of people enjoying private moments. Something that has become more rare since she climbed up the ranks. In this time she learned why you shouldn't kiss through a whole night with Talithi as a Terran, both had a near death experience thanks to the intoxicaction effects both species have to each other, still it's a common thing between younger Terrans and Talithi. Thanks to the fact they exhale Oxygen and inhale Carbon dioxide the kiss doesn't need to be interrupted to breath but still it makes you drunk more and more.

Kira also enjoys all the different foods, music, the dancing, the Art. etc

Sofar Arkham hadn't such fun at it something Kira want to change in the future.

450. What originally got you interested in writing?

I always was a storytelling Person. I'm that kind of person which eyes light up if they can tell you a story.
I always loved reading and early in my brain started producing its own "what if" scenarios.

I'm a sucker for stories and I could consume dozens in hours, was reading champion in my school mostly through the fact that at reading nights I red my books even while eating - drinking until I fell asleep. Without fictional worlds I wouldn't be who I am today because

I had to fight against a whole system of unfair distributed problems of my family, mobbing as a 1st grader til I entered job education, being struck with type 1 Diabetes since my 2. Year of life.

Stories kept me sane, my own (as a teen) & the stories of others. Especially Star Trek & Terry Pratchetts works. I hope by writing I can give something back something that others can enjoy.

451. Picture This: Your MC befriends a little bird who sits on their windowsill every morning. What do they name him or her? What type of bird are they?

That's one hell of a bird riding through space without any atmosphere to breath and traveling with faster than light speed...

This little bugger would be hell of a problem contaminating planets, because if they are birdlike they evolved to fly in an atmosphere, if they can keep up with an FTL drive in space, they must be able to withstand atmospheric reentry and have an incredibly energy consumption...

I don't want to imagine what a creature could do this, it wouldn't look like a cute bird, more like a nightmare. Bird baby's already look like nightmares until their feathers start popping, i guess this special breed would most likely look more like an avian dinosaur of old depictions. Feathers mostly would burn on entry.

I replace the Is with Are and your SC with your SCs.

As Mentioned on Kiras answer you have to control yourself while in the alliance military structure. Neither the Alliance or the Union like mindless released anger. It's also seen as a personal weakness im general. It's okay to let loose on some occasions and the Alliance even incorporates relief methods in their training plans and keeps an open mind over soldiers having romantic/sexual intercourse with each other, society in general likes people to be getting fucked (in a good way not over) instead of getting shut. That's one reason why Sexworkers are highly respected in the future. It's a common trait of more than one species to getting relaxed by intercourse. Of course there are other options too, like training or meditation teached.

People like Arkham or Mondira that have shorter trainings tend to be more explosive.

453 What would your MC do if there was a strange presence in the room and it felt ominous?

Scan for strong electro magnetic fields.
Sometimes hidden technology can manifest sort of magnetic flux interference, the universe itself doesn't show all its possibilities to the naked eye. So a scan would bring more information.

Arkham would triple check everything and afterwards check her medication because of her hyper sensitive nature she can detect slightest traces of temperature shifts as long she is not sitting in the pilot seat or wears clothes that are to distracting or is planet side. People moving through the room also can trigger temperature shifts. Bending light is one thing but not heating your surroundings is another.

Ashlei would react like Kira after informing her and the duty staff that she detected something. Alarm level would be slightly raised in her systems, bringing shielding and weaponry up faster if necessary.

Tattoos & other marks aren't as permanent as they are today.

Talisa & Rose have a dragon Tattoo Talisa on her left, Rose on her right arm, if they are cuddled up & holding hands, in the right way, both tattoos merge into one.
Talisa has a rose tattoo under her left breast towards her left armpit. Rose has a ring tattoo instead of a ring on her left ringfinger that says Talisa & shows her Birthday, which is the same day (different year of course) they get together.

Mondira loves Tattoos last counted it where 19, her favorites are her spidernet breast tattoos, a smiling goat with 8 horns on her back & burning eyes, that could be mistaken for a spider, two spidernet tattoos on each arm on her wrist/hand and one spidernet tattoo going from her right shoulder, covering a stab wound to her neck. She loves spiders.

Kira:
Loosing anyone more, she already is hellbent in saving as many as possible but it's a war against an enemy that despite being easily identified seemingly impossible to understand. She has sworn to protect the Union and everyone the union wants to be protected.

Arkham:
Loosing Kira in any way or anyone else on the ship.

Ashlei:
Failing her mission, protecting the ships crew, loosing Arkham's friendship, loosing Arkham, loosing Kira, being forced to unmerge with Kira, loosing Kira to her more & more distancing aspects. The more Kira and Ash align with each other less and less Ash beliefs that Kira will stay the person she is. Before the merge Ash wouldn't have cared beyond her programming but now as she learns how Terrans feel and experience things she grows concerned for her captain/extension of herself.

456. Your MC is dead and haunting you. Where do they show up?

Time traveling ghosts from the future? Most likely would be Ashlei as an AI she could influence electronic devices with ease. Like changing the text on my phone to a language I don't speak like Turkish or Mandarin.

Interesting to know would be if it is a ghost that traveled through time which could than appear everywhere as long it's not depending on some inter dimensional reality boarder thinning event. Or a time traveler pretending to be a ghost, which would make it more likely that they approach me as I am alone.

And now I'm thinking on it how that would work in my universe and simply put it [---------------------------------------------------------redacted---------------------------------------------------------] {pleas insert proof of clearance}

There are a lot of Scarry creatures in the StarRyde-Verse. Like 6 meter high insects, dinosaur like aliens or a species of sentient plants, one is even part of the Union.

The Eltaryn clearly stand out this hulking gorilla like or insectoid like aliens that never speak but fight and fight and fight. No communication only brutal warfare. And than there is this eerie thing that they dustify after they are defeated and there tech also falls apart. Where you just had a battlefield with fallen comrades and enemies are now only you and your fallen left in gray send.
First people thought they where using a Nanovirus or something like it but it turns out that all what remains seems to be ash...
As if they burned on the anvils of war.
Still all this ash is now part of your world...
Only once in the history it was successful to capture

But u think the absolute scariest creature is AJ...
A person that can't remember most of their live but is skilled enough to survive on the battlefield, evade capture, being hunted by an unknown past bits kinda scary but what makes it really scary for me, despite that we don't know what problem AJ has... The memory loss can happen to all of us. Whiped clean like a fresh plate out of the sink, or like in AJ's case, crumbled remains still on it, out of the context, only there to remind you what you lost...

There are a lot of stories of a lot of creatures especially AJ draws, not knowingly, heavily from the in universe myth of the Greyman for their self presentation.
Grey little humanoid Aliens exist in the story of every sentient species an well in the middle of the Union with the grey skinned Bethos(ians) it's unclear if their species has anything to to with said stories.
The Intergalactic SCP foundation and the Templin Institute for interspecies Anthropology (thats the Terran names translated into our time) are fighting over this topic for a long period now.

The modern variant mixed in all kind of sources and is an amalgamation of different myths, stories etc similar to our modern understanding of the Earth mother movements in history. It's currently visuals are a result of Bethosian traits

The greyman are often described as being seductive, which is a result of the Bethosians being thrown in because their abilities to have sexual intercourse with other species with relative ease fuels a lot of fantasies throughout galactic society, manipulative, benevolent, mischievous, dangerous or even helpful. Thanks to the galaxy wide version of the Internet or the Neural interface network this stories spread and mutate incredibly fast.

Since AJ draws so heavily on this myth of the greyman it's easy to understand why people start talking about the Greyman that saved them or sacrificed their colonie.

I add unknown to its traits, because a lot of creatures in the universe could fall under the umbrella Demonic Presence from our today's point of view.

Kira: cautiously aim her gun at it while trying to not look to dangerous. Try to get more information. Try to evaluate the danger & establish communication. First contacts are easy to mess up & need a special handling, she is trained for such situations but luckily never had to follow through, so she would be on alert & also try to make a good impression. But safety first. If communication can be established attempt to gather information & make clear that she has no interest in harming the entity as long they are peaceful.

Arkham: jump away from the creature before remembering her training for first contact situations.

Ash: Scanning the hedge out of this creature to support first contact protocol.

It is hard to pin point that, Kira tries to be a general good hearted and kind person. A decent behavior is expected from everyone on a society level, Terrans tend to be more kind in general because they actively try to learn from the past and be better.
So it's not uncommon to share food or shelter someone in need. Kira is protective about her crew as much as it's healthy/possible. Usually she doesn't discuss things in anger but with the goal of helping someone to advance. Her favorite goal for this war would be to end it via communication, by reaching a shared understanding.

I guess under the circumstances, that this is a war against an enemy who shoots on sight and doesn't communicate other than by attacking ships, destroying colonies, killing civilians, this is a form of kindness or maybe naivety.

450 2/2 who was heavily intoxicated do to breathing unfiltered Terran Air for too long, she took him in and whore a mask while setting the environmental control of her apartment to the atmosphere of Morakhar. Filtering out the human enzymes of the nano droplets of Terean saliva that intoxicate Talithi.

She than called a medical advisor and asked for help and guidance.
It turned out he was a security officer of the Union and got attacked by some Seraph members.

Seraph is like Cerberus in Mass Effect or Terra Prime in Star Trek, they hide under a heavily bend and miss interpreted Religious umbrella.
Their symbol is a stylized depiction of 6 red angel wings centered around a blue ball representing Terra, some believe they are fueled by some entities in the Rim.

As I said it's not uncommon to average Terrans, that do not share Seraphs views to act similar to Kira in such cases.

Kira & Arkham are the double trouble Team Rocket (the one from Pokemon) always talks about.
For Arkham it's the first time she feels romantically interested in another person. She had sexual activities before but it was like something she does for friends or if her body urges her. In Kira's case she wants to be the reason that Kira can smile, wants her to be protected & probably would do something incredible stupid for her. 3/4 this very powerful & untamed energy. For Kira she is at the same time someone that is blunt as wooden club but has an instinctive knowledge on how to react to Kira. She also pushes Kira in a way that it doesn't feel forced more like a challenge between friends and makes sure Ash is involved too because even if your connected all time you manage to separate from each other a bit so that your not hanging on to each other all the time. Since the merge from Kira and Ashlei happened not really voluntary but as a result of saving Kiras life she embraced it. And since than she learned a lot about Body identity, how to control the ship with a thought, how she can breach into an AI system and even use it as where it part of her body, her perception can now change in seconds if she wants to, but mostly she keeps the one of her Human body because it's easier.

4/4 weird as in wonderful, exciting and a time of understanding.

As an AI you are bound to your physical form and the network that allows you to expand as much as you like. Being merged with a Terran gives you perspective on another physical body, how this body reacts, she secretly mixed some essence's into the Air that make most of the crew relax a bit more and found it delightful as it worked. For Ashlei Kira is the biggest lucky hit, she is open minded don't fights the merge and even is interested in things Ashlei was programmed to find interesting or important. Watching her "other half" making progress in forming Holo Avatar's from her memory or taking over control from her delights her. All concepts she didn't really understood before. But now she even KNOWS how strawberries taste. She would prefer if Kira doesn't drink the EpiL tho but her argument is good, it's simply efficient and as an AI she agrees.

463 At a party, which character of yours would win at apple bobbing, and how? Would they cheat?

Every 'roach Eltaryn would easily thanks to their mandibles.
Something only the elvish looking Asza'ni could achieve similar because their lower jaw unlike Terrans or Talithi (who can dislocate their lower jaw) can split in the middle. Most times they keep it closed and often wear makeup up to match Terran, Talith or Somwhar standards. They always seems freaked out if Asza'ni open their mouth completely. Maybe it's more because of the tentacle like tongue or that their lower jaws hide a set of mandibles that look a lot like the arms of a praying mantis upside down. It just doesn't seem to work with their elegant upper face structure that closely resembles Terran or Talith.
Somwhar also have an advantage withe their feline head and their fangs.
Of all characters Kira could have an slight advantage thanks to her extrem good proprioception.

You mean more Horror than a "paradise" threatened by an invasive force without visible motivations?

There are sulfur based life forms, hell worlds which are like Venus or the suns surface, some of them have intelligent life, some of them are intelligent. There are so called mentals, beings that can force their mind and thoughts into others, it's more a category than a species. Or parasitic beings that alter one's behavior by infecting them (imagine a Toxoplasma Gondii with a hive mind as an example). So I don't need to stretch my mind to far.

This infections can be healed but it needs the right treatment and conditions. In case of a single mind connecting to one it's often more like an knowledge thing how one can survive. Accessing ones mind does not grand control of it just an influence

2/3 knowing about the influence one can have and how to deal with it, telepathy isn't very common and non telepathic species are resistant to a degree by their nature. So if a "demon" would "possess" a single mind individual like any Terran, it would be a battle of thoughts while the demon must learn how to control it's new host. The body doesn't take this kindly and the subconsciousness can be a tricky labyrinth to fall in for an unprepared breachling. What the demon might feel as their tongue might be the muscles that controls the bladder. The perception of the individual my differ vastly from the perception of the pocessor so that a single stroke of a brush may trigger a pain response in the invaders thoughts. Because no way is only one way every exit can be an entry and every connect has the risk to backfire.

So to be the "survivor", analyze who your dealing with, find their weakness & use it, make your mind their hell.
