It might be middle-aged person syndrome, but I just can't deal with fast-action touch controls unless I'm actively looking at them.
This means retro-gaming on mobile isn't for me, except for very slow paced games. 😔
Also, without a proper 3.5mm audio jack, the delay on bluetooth headphones is just... awful.
This contraption has opened retro gaming on mobile for me. It's a bluetooth gamepad that stretches apart to hold your phone in the middle.

It blocks the phone's USB-C port (no wired headphones) and can't hold the phone vertically (not great for vertical games). But it feels good quality for the price and, all in all, I'm happy with it.
