@fisher Fosstodon is so busy that I no longer have any hope of keeping up with the timeline. On all of my Fedi accounts I no longer need to look for people to follow because I have too many as it is. A lot of the creative/arts tags are also so busy one can barely keep up. I see links to the Fedi in the wild frequently, and in some places they outnumber links to abusive media. Mastodon and the Fedi is already a resounding success. Growth is not a success metric.
