#livetooting this small town American Legion open mic night

Up now: one man. 12 string #guitar. He sounds good!
You Can Go Your Own Way: nice interpretation. Challenging but I think he made this full-band hit sound solid

Venus: the 12 string and a surprisingly lush arrangement with plenty of color chords made this enjoyable. Tommy James would be proud.

Last tune: sadly, idk what if it is. Bluesy and a little dark but upbeat. Sounds very 70s. Riding the Storm Out? I like it. great closer.

*Edit*: It's the next day and now I have time to put some alt text on those photos, not an easy thing to do with fat thumbs and little time.

Nice voice though the sound guy seems to have buried it in guitar. Blue takamine I think (or maybe Seagull? Guessing from headstock and my limited knowledge)

Bluegrass voice. High altitude, strong. Reminds me of Emmylou Harris. Simple 4-chord song. Lovely

So g 2 is upbeat, medium tempo with double-time rhythm. Catchy though I don't know it.

I guess we all get 4 songs. I have decisions to make.

Her #3 sounds a little minor keyish (idk?). Her style is twangy and country but I can almost place the tune... Why don't I know all the songs?!

Oh that's it. It might be Sweet Child o'Mine? Maybe? Anyway, it is mellow and lovely

Next up: vocalist and 2 guitarists . Vocalist is clear and rich. The guitars sound great. One might have an octave pedal; rich bass. They are tight together and playing to their strengths.

I heard this woman sing a few months ago and thought she sounded nice. Well, now she sounds a lot more than that: confident and nuanced. Great stuff.

I don't know any of these songs but they are really satisfying to listen to.

Wish I could stay for the last few acts but I have an appointment with a 13 year old who is very excited about the possibilities of Spirit Halloween, which popped up last month in the strip mall beside I-90, in the space that used to be JC Penney until about 5 years ago.
