Spent almost 2 hours picking up 15 gallons of ginkgo berries out of my driveway, front yard, and front porch… and I still didn’t get all of the ones currently down. If you’re unfamiliar, the crushed berries smell like a mix of vomit and dog 💩.

I picked up about 10 gallons a week ago.

Another 5 gallons of ginkgo berries picked up, bringing the total to 30 gallons so far. For those of you keeping score at home.

Only picked up about 3 gallons of berries today. I fear the wind and possible storms are going to bring more down…

This has been the #ginkgo report.

Another 4 gallons of #ginkgo berries have been cleaned up after being gone for 3 days. The total is now at about 37 gallons, but I’m hoping it means less are still on the tree the further we go. I did not miss the smell while gone…
@chrishuck How many acres are you scavenging, and are you saving/eating the nuts?
@kbob If I had to estimate, it might be 400 square feet. No way am I eating those things. I’m only picking them up because they stink so bad. So many land on my driveway and you can’t not run over them, releasing the stink. Then, your car tires smell like vomit and dog shit. 🤮
