Trump has grown irrelevant to them. They just need his MAGA crowd to place him in the WH, then they are done with him.
It's not like Trump would be running the country. They'd be running it for him.
I would expect Vance to be de facto President, while Trump holds and calls down hellfire on his perceived enemies.
