End of September and only 3 more months left of my "watch some never seen before movies" challenge of 2024.

1981s #AnAmericanWerewolfInLondon

Still a bit creepy for a comedy horror film. Pure Landis in the pattern of dialogue. Great parody with some good comedy touches eg. the werewolf running amok in the porn cinema while a film plays in the background 😂

1978s #TheBoysFromBrazil based on a bestseller by Ira Levin.
The movie was a bit of a jumble of supposedly linking ideas. Basic idea though is that Laurence Olivier is a Nazi hunter who discovers that Josef Mengele, portrayed by Gregory Peck, is alive and well in Paraguay and has managed to make clones from Hitler's DNA. All young teenage men, scattered around the world. It is only one of a few times that Peck played a villain. Everyone hits their mark in terms of performance, Olivier a little more so, but it felt lacking in a way. Unlike the film #JudgementAtNuremberg where a handful of terrible images of the Holocaust were shown as evidence in the trials, here they come as fast blinking images meant to bombard your brain alongside eerie music. I don't think that that was necessary.

1983s #NationalLampoon'sVacation

I can see how this set up the additional movies. Written by John Hughes and directed by Harold Ramis, this is quite a cute little film. Not sure how the others fare in comparison but it was 98 min spent being entertained.

Still trying to watch the entire #TheMatrix. 3 times I have tried. I will not give up.
