Small quibble with your use of "warned" in "Trump warned in his speech"
Using "warn" implies that what he was warning about is something worth being worried about. The verb "warn" gives a form of legitimacy to Trump's lies.
In an article where you are talking about press coverage, these sorts of word choices matter. If you don't want to use plain old "said", you could use "claimed" or "lied" or "falsely stated" or any number of other options.
