I last worked in Feb of last year (2023). I filed for disability 2 weeks later. I'd struggled for so long only able to work PT. Now I haven't had an income at all. I hope I'll get SSDI, but I don't know if I will. I've already had 2 denials. I just had my hearing before a law judge & I'm fearful. They want to do more evaluations.
My girlfriend @SabiLewSounds is homeless, disabled & sole caretaker for her family. I'm fearful for their lives. Nothing is coming in!!
@SabiLewSounds & family have been homeless for months, following an eviction. Funds haven't been coming in to keep them sheltered.
This week, in Tampa Bay, where they live, Helene hovered nearby for several hours, as a Cat4.
Even sheltered, they were in very real danger.
Had they not been, I don't know that they'd be alive today.
