For those with a long memory, remember religious nutbar Senator Harradine? He was never interested in voting on a billโ€™s merits, only on what side deals he could get for his christofascist agenda. The Greens are the same, and the side deals they want are impossible. They only get the balance of power when the LNP vote against things that they would normally vote for because they want to create chaos before the upcoming election. The result is the Greens give the LNP the chaos they want. If we get an LNP government, it will be in a large part the Greens who put them there. The present demand that the government set the interest rate is the latest, most blatant example. #auspol

@andrewrock

What demand of the Greens would you consider to be impossible?

@andrewrock the ALP developed a carte blanche method of cratering against the Greens on every issue. Their absolutist approach to fracturing anything the Greens step on is the real chaos at hand.

They're denying them the space despite the Green's right to be involved as a duly elected party.

@andrewrock

"If we get an LNP government, it will be in a large part the Greens who put them there."

<Checks Labors' track record> <Looks at Rupert Murdoch>

Are you sure about that statement? That's quite a claim.
Sure is a lot of kool-aid going around lately.

@andrewrock Agreed, Haradine was awful and the Greens fit this view. It is used to discredit the Greens but the big picture on housing, for instance, is much more needs to be done by the government. Business is disinterested in those unable to pay so government must be forced to help the unfortunate. Those, you may think already get too much. The people with too much are uncharitable unfortunately.

@andrewrock Piffle.

Weโ€™ve GOT an LNP government, it just likes to cosplay as something else.

Take your innate conservatism and stuff it in that little fist youโ€™re waving at the progressives sweetie.

Labor have done fuck all for decades except fight amongst themselves, now they fight anyone who gives a stuff about the future.

@andrewrock The independents do exactly the same thing. They're representing their constituents, which is their legitimate role. They're not there to make sure the big parties get an easy ride. #auspol
