Going to be such a pain to save £4,699 up for this new bike.

It's like £400 I have to save per month for a whole year. Guess going to really have to push to earn some money as defo want it sooner than next year.

@sam It’s your first bike. Get something cheap that won’t make you sad when you inevitably drop it! You can get something shiny when you have a license and can ride something with actual power.

@cablespaghetti Most other bikes I look at (mostly second hand ones) rather have way to much work for someone like me to do, or is about the same price or coming close to something like this.

I understand I will drop my first and probably every other bike after my first. I sure want to get on the road but also have something that I'll feel comfy riding.

@sam I see the view point but you can definitely get something that’s a couple of years old and has been well cared for, so doesn’t need any work for wayyyy less money than that. Depends on your priorities I suppose, shiny new things can be nice. 🙂
@cablespaghetti I do want to save money but I want something that I feel I want to ride and not break down in so many miles. I currently don't know how to fix a motorbike so it's going to be a concern when getting an old bike, especially as I don't know what to look for when it comes to 'needing or doesn't need fixing up'

@sam

What are you waiting for?

@brickflyer Money sadly. I also need to get my CBT before I can even ride something like this.

Eventually will get there

@sam

Yeah money is really a showstopper, so keep the faith and gl.
