Out of purest spite, I would love to found a company that undermines the current consumer router market.
Surely we have the technology to build an airport-style brick that plugs into the wall. Surely it doesn't have to cost between 80 and 500 dollars for this brick. Surely it can configure itself for the vast majority of major telco networks in the US without requiring physical tethering and logging into a 1998-ass portal. Surely we can deliver automatic software updates OTA so I never have to look at another printer firmware-ass manufacturer's webpage.
I just want to plug a reasonably sized brick into the wall and set a hamburger emoji as my SSID I don't give a shit beyond that jesus christ.
Success will be measured by how much revenue we can divert from the telcos that think it's acceptable to "rent" a plastic piece of shit for $100 a year.
