[English] Alejandro actually wants to fulfill his childhood dream and design toys. But immigration and life in New York have their pitfalls. In his film, Julio Torres provides a trenchant interpretation of labor migration and its contradictions, possibly largely from his own experience. Exaggerated characters waft through bizarre scenarios in gaudy images. Alejandro is always dependent on someone in order not to lose his visa. And yet he helps other people more than they seem to believe. Despite this, Alejandro is not an exaggerated character - more of an anti-hero who, in a great performance, plods from scene to scene
