I decided to do something that I've never done or even had interest in doing before in my entire life, and that is...I HAVE REGISTERED TO VOTE!
I felt like it was time to make a change and do something a little different. We'll see how this ends up and hopefully it makes a difference in some way.
I know @jcrabapple will be pleased and excited to hear this news.
The wife and I will go and do early voting in October.
Good for you! I know a lot of people are saying it and it kinda makes it less poignant but this is probably the most important election of our lifetimes.
Make sure your friends and family are registered too!

Generally about 50,000,000 US citizens, think their vote won't matter.
What if they all voted for the same candidate?

of eligible voters who don't show up until they find a good reason to make the time (often before or after working 2+ jobs & dealing with child care)
These folks aren't lazy or uninterested in #Democracy - they just (rightly, imo) assess that neither party's candidate gives a fuck about what THEY need

This is why gerrymandering has existed because the more people who vote the harder it becomes to gerrymander.

It can be hard to care about politics, but I think we should always try to care about democracy. There are always people worth voting for and people worth voting against, and that's why I vote every time.
Voting is the adult version of writing a letter to Santa Claus.
