Headline I hope to see today: Harris wipes the floor with unhinged Trump in debate: he melts down into nonstop lies and gibberish. Kamala Harris was spot on. She was presidential, spoke passionately about the issues she cares about, and put Trump on the defensive.

From the moment she walked over and introduced herself with her full name, she was in control. If everyone does their part and votes, she will be our next POTUS.

@TonyStark I like Zack Beauchamp's article because it shows how Harris is the smartest person to take him on. None of his Republican competition in 2016 knew what to do against him. None of them this year had to debate him since he didn't show, but even so, none had an argument that Republican primary voters would hear. Biden was appropriately dismissive in 2020 and it worked, but Harris is in a class of her own and Trump just lost it, going on about dogs and strongmen.

How Kamala Harris goaded (and goaded and goaded) Trump into a debate trainwreck

Harris beat Trump at the September debate by going after his pride.

@MariaHill @TonyStark She clearly won.

She definitively made the case for why she is the leader we choose next. And finally seeing him challenged and exposed was what we all needed. Now, it's our turn to take it all the way through to November.

@MariaHill @TonyStark I'd say Hillary demolished Trump too but for some reason Americans hated her. I'll never understand why.

@tobie1 She won the popular vote but came up short in the Electoral College (which really has to go away).

And people hated her because of how her history was twisted and recapped. Even if they didn't live through it

@MariaHill @TonyStark

@CharJTF @MariaHill @TonyStark It still hurts me what happened in 2016. And this makes it all the more imperative for the Orange Turd to be defeated once and for all.
@tobie1 @MariaHill It was shocking and rather disgusting to see the hate she unjustly received and while I have decided not to dwell on it on social media, Iโ€™ll forever carry resentment over the country we should have had.

@TonyStark

Yes. With her initial controlling handshake, Harris undid in one step the metaphysical wrong from the TV debate in 2016, where Trump was allowed to wander around the stage and invade Clinton's space. I guess Clinton at the time was advised to ignore his power games, but that was wrong. The image of Trump looming threateningly behind was haunting. That image stays, but now it is superceded by the image of Harris walking into Trump's space right at the start.

@the_roamer I agree with all of this.
@TonyStark @the_roamer I still wish she had turned to him and said "I'm sorry, are you lost? Can I help you back to your podium?" sigh.

@alan @TonyStark

Yes, that would have been so liberaring. Glad it's happening now!
