While I was preparing to go out last evening, there was an uproar outside. It was a raucous crowd of large billed crows and their center of focus was a tall areca palm in our front yard. One crow somehow had gotten its leg trapped among the tree's fronds, probably called for help and that was the reason for all this chaos. I literally "shook the tree" to free the bird, but it didn't work. Its friends were trying to help too, so I left hoping for the best. 1/3 #Nature #Life #Story
I had forgotten all about this. Today I woke up hearing the same uproar. The trapped crow was still there and its friends had resumed the protest. It was a big crowd and not sure if all of them knew the victim in person. Looked more like how humans throng to a place of tragedy. I decided to intervene. Brought the tallest ladder and the longest pole (with a hook) available, climbed up and tugged the tree fronds where it was stuck. 2/3 #Nature #CrowStory #Life

The crow got its leg free and flied away in a second. But even after a couple of hours, his friends are still protesting: flying around and crying aloud. It seems like the trapped crow was too shy or embarrassed and left in a hurry without informing the mob. Now the protest sounds like a crow-missing case and I appear to be the accused! 3/3
