@jewwhohasitall , the inspiration for my newest song will be obvious. Her dispatches from a world where the United States takes Judaism for granted, in the same way that ours assumes Christianity, led me to wonder what the secular holiday music would be like.

In my mind, this is from the Great American Songbook. Probably most people have heard the Tony Bennett version. (Maybe someday I'll be able to record a version with a brass band? For now, it's me and a ukulele.)

It's also the first love song I've ever written.
