If socialism is to be realized, then the freedom of individuals to be able to privately own the means of production has to be taken away, as well as people's freedom to reinstate the old capitalist order. Allowing absolute freedom for everyone would also be giving freedom to the reactionaries, and with that freedom would give them the power to initiate a counter-revolution, destroying socialism. 1/2
